Scene: Henri's Bistro—revisited. Patrick and Ted meet over lunch … Patrick: “Thanks for meeting me at Henri's, again. I'm happy that we could get together here—after all, this is where you first introduced the concept of scorecards, and I wanted to bring you up to date with what I've been doing with it.” Ted: “Have you had a chance to make use of the ideas and concepts that we shared?” Patrick: “Absolutely. Although I am very comfortable and confident with what I've seen so far, I think that we would benefit from your experience to help guide us through some of the practical considerations.” Ted: “Great. I can probably make a few days available—let's see if we can work out the details so I can meet with your team in a timely manner.” Patrick: “In the meantime, I'd like to share a document that I put together to help with the early orientation of our executives.
