It requires a nuanced approach that considers not only economic factors but also soft variables, such as interpersonal relationships, timelines, and emotional factors.
A skilled negotiator knows how to prioritize and balance these variables, often using them to gain an advantage in other areas. For instance, in negotiations involving delivery times and pricing, a nuanced understanding of the interconnectedness of these variables can lead to more favorable outcomes.
