I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
5.1. Structure
Structure represents the way we organize our business to do work. It's the "boxology" of business that's often represented by the organization chart. It includes reporting relationships, accountabilities, hierarchic levels, and titles. It's the "who reports to whom" piece of any business.
Organizational structure represents our formal documented processes for communicating with each other. It organizes how we do our work and establishes how we make decisions. Some structures run deep, with many levels. Some are flat. There are virtual structures, spider web structures, matrix structures, process-focused structures, and hundreds of permutations of each. Sometimes, multiple structures reside in the same organization.
