Summary

Enabling security on your wireless network is critical even if you have a firewall, because a firewall protects you against some threats but does little to protect against wireless access threats. Broadcasting your SSID and leaving the encryption feature disabled is, at best, an invitation to give your neighbors free Internet access and, at worst, an easy path to losing your identity. Encryption is an absolute must on any wireless network.
