Many professionals who fix computers and networks for a living tell us to always include what they call the “10-minute miracle.” Put simply, it means shut everything down, turn everything off, and go have your favorite beverage (they say coffee, we prefer beer, although we have also found that too many 10-minute miracle breaks for beer can be somewhat counterproductive to troubleshooting). Come back in 10 minutes, power things back up, and start looking at it again.
You may be surprised that whatever was not working is now working. Try it, it works sometimes.
