I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

The problem description—applications and their services need to be continuously monitored to gain a firm grip on their availability and performance levels and patterns. Monitoring services running in off-premises, on-demand, and online environments are quite difficult compared to any on-premises services. There are many factors that affect cloud-hosted applications, such as network latency, the performance and availability of the underlying compute and storage systems, and the network bandwidth between them. The service can fail entirely or partially due to any of these factors. Therefore, we must verify at regular intervals that the service is performing correctly.
