So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Design considerations - when to use a two-tier client-server pattern?
Having read so much about the two-tier client-server pattern, the next question which arises in our mind is when to use two-tier client server pattern for a specific architectural design. The following points could be used as a guideline to decide that:
- If the application under consideration is server based and will support numerous client, then the two-tier client server pattern is a good choice.
- Some of the applications that work well with a two-tier client server pattern are web applications that are accessed through a web browser or for business process applications that are likely to be used throughout the organization.
