I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Connector pattern
The developer API approach entails fast data transfer and data access services through APIs. It creates optimized data sets for efficient loading and analysis. Some of the big data appliances abstract data in NoSQL DBs even though the underlying data is in HDFS, or a custom implementation of a filesystem so that the data access is very efficient and fast.
The connector pattern entails providing developer API and SQL like query language to access the data and so gain significantly reduced development time.
