It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Cryptographic key management system pattern
Cryptography is the unique approach to ensuring data security. Encryption and decryption are the two major components of this mathematical theory. Keys are generated and stored securely and are used fluently for securing data while in transit, rest, and being used by software applications. The worry here is how to safely and securely keep the keys generated. If the keys are somehow lost, then the encrypted data cannot be decrypted.
