It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Verify Cisco IOS SDM configurations with IOS CLI configurations
In this chapter, I introduce the Cisco IOS Firewall feature set and discuss its major functions. I walk through configuring the firewall with Cisco Security Device Manager (SDM), what those configurations look like in IOS command line, using SDM to monitor the firewall, and reviewing firewall commands.
