It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
17.3. Configurations for Voice
It is time to take a look at how to configure your network devices to support voice traffic. You might remember that I mentioned in Chapter 2, "Switching," that I would come back to the configurations for voice traffic. I won't cover in detail here the creation of VLANs and how to set basic switchport commands. If you need a review of those things, refer back to Chapter 2. What I do cover are the commands for setting up a phone on a voice gateway (router). Figure 17.1 shows the basic setup that you learn to configure.
