7.4. Summary
There were a lot of things to cover to get you through BGP. The first thing I talked about was whether you should even use BGP or not. BGP is the only routing protocol that I gave you reasons not to use it. Then, after you have decided that you are going to use BGP, I took you through the ways that you can connect your network to the Internet.
Next, I described for you the characteristics of BGP and what the decision-making process for the protocol is. I covered for you the many tables and messages that BGP creates and sends out.
