I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
18.5. Configuring QoS
Before I get into the actual processes of creating QoS policies, I want to give you a rundown on the different methods that exist for making a QoS policy. The four methods for implementing and managing a QoS policy are:
Legacy Command-Line Interface (CLI)
Modular QoS CLI (MQC)
AutoQoS
SDM QoS Wizard
Legacy CLI
In the past, the only way to implement a QoS policy in the network was by using the Command-Line Interface (CLI) to individually configure QoS policies at each interface. This was a time-consuming, tiresome, and error-prone task that involved cutting and pasting configurations from one interface to another. It also required someone with extensive networking expertise.
