I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

These three books are the classic trilogy on information design from Edward Tufte. This is not easy reading, but at times simply mesmerizing. The quality of a graphics in the books is also beyond most other printed works, and the examples are well-researched.
- Site-Seeing: A Visual Approach to Web Usability, by Luke Wroblewski (Hungry Minds, 2003).
A site's visual design has a direct and profound impact on how we perceive, use, and navigate web sites. This book contains hundreds of well thought-out examples from the Web to illustrate this point. Wroblewski covers the design of many navigation mechanisms in detail, as well as use of space, color, fonts, and many other visual design elements.
