Three binary digits are combined to get the values from 0 to 7 in decimal. 0 to 7 are the sym-
bols of octal system. The octal digits, 0 to 7 can be written in combination of three binary
digits (3 bits) as given in Table 2.7. Hence, octal number is converted into equivalent binary
number by replacing octal digits to its 3 bits equivalent binary number.
