192 PREPARING THE TENDER

The heating contractor will decide the rate to charge for day-to-

day jobbing work embracing the usual run of repairs and replace-

ments of existing equipment and/or pipework made necessary by

the normal process of wear and tear, accident, additions, minor

extensions and servicing.

For maintenance and service work of a regular nature, e.g. for

public buildings, business properties, factories, property companies,

and housing estates, the heating contractor and client may negotiate
