So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

As the industry has become more interconnected, the pattern of using an external party to authenticate users has become more common. The Federated Security pattern has been chosen for discussion here as it is one of the best ways to ensure security in our systems, and most software-as-a-service (SaaS) platforms offer this feature.
