It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
EDA
EDA promotes the concept of having loosely connected producers and consumers where the producers do not have direct knowledge of the consumers. An event in this context is any change ranging from a user logging onto a system, to an order being placed, to a process failing to complete successfully. EDA fits well in distributed systems and allows for highly scalable solutions.
