I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

With cloud-based solutions, the data center is remotely hosted and you often do not have full control or access to all aspects of an application. In some cases, such as serverless services, the infrastructure is abstracted away. An application must still expose information about a running application that can be used to manage and monitor an application. Patterns used to manage and monitor are essential for the success of an application by providing both the ability to keep an application running healthily as well as providing strategic information to the business.
