Network module
It is much more convenient to connect all of the sensors to the PLC through a common network or bus rather than to connect each sensor through dedicated wiring. Industrial networks are specialized networks that ensure determinism in the message delivery process. The fieldbus modules manage the communication protocols for the various types of industrial networks, which include fieldbus, proprietary networks, and Ethernet.
