In supervised models, the algorithm learns from a set of data that is labelled with the correct answers. For instance, in the renewable energy sector, we might have a set of data that contains the input of a wind turbine, including the amount of wind and the turbine's position, and the output, which is the amount of power generated. From this data, we can infer a model that is able to predict the output of the wind turbine based on the input. Other examples of supervised learning include regression, classification, tagging, ranking, sequence learning, neural networks, and regularization.
