Predix Asset

In the previous example, we hardcoded the tag list in the code, but in a real-world case we need to use the asset registry. Predix provides an asset registry database called Predix Asset, which can be found at https://docs.predix.io/en-US/content/service/data_management/asset/. We can also configure our application to ask for tags stored on the TSDB, but when the tag list becomes very large we need to use the asset hierarchy.

The availability of an asset registry is the key differentiator between an IoT and I-IoT platform.
