It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 22. Aligning and Distributing Objects
One of the more powerful and confusing dialog boxes in QuarkXPress is the Space/Align dialog box. It’s powerful because it gives you great control over how selected boxes or lines are positioned in relationship to each other on the page. But the controls are confusing and so most users just ignore it. InDesign offers the very same abilities to align and distribute objects, using the Align palette, but we find its design is a great deal more intuitive.
To align or distribute objects, open the Align palette by choosing Align from the Window menu (or press F8), then show all its features by choosing Show Options from the palette menu. The Align palette is broken into five sections (see Figure 22-1). Remember ...
