So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Both controlled load and guaranteed bit rate use a token bucket to describe a data flow’s
traffic parameters. The token bucket is a rate control mechanism that identifies a mean rate
(how much can be sent or forwarded per unit time on average), a burst size (how much can
be sent within a given unit of time without scheduling concerns), and a measurement
interval (the time quantum). Details regarding the token bucket rate control mechanism are
discussed in Chapter 3.
