Case Study 9-1: Downstream Label Distribution
This case study discusses the label binding, distribution, and label-based switching
operations for the prefix 222.222.222.3 on Router NewYork in the network shown in Figure
9-6. It does so by looking into the NewYork, Chicago, Dallas, and SanFrancisco routers.

The mpls ip command is used to enable MPLS on a router. One prerequisite for label
distribution is CEF, which you can enable by using the global ip cef command.
