Interactive Example of Losing and Restoring a Database
Database backup and restores are the most important tasks performed by a DBA. As such, it is very important to be prepared for the day that you must perform your first real-world backup and restore procedure to restore critical user data. To help you along, walk through an actual backup and restore of a database. This exercise is similar to the restore process described in the previous section and simulates an actual backup and restore that you might perform some day!
