Viewing Detailed Process Activity

The day will come when your phone is ringing off the hook because suddenly the system is slow or a user has been waiting a very long time for a report to complete. With SQL Server 2000, you can easily view the current activity of the system using the Current Activity dialog box (refer to Figure 15.8). To view detailed information on an executing process, select the process in which you wish to view the information from the current activity view (refer to Fig 15.8) with a single mouse click, and then right-click and select the Properties option. The Process Information dialog box of the Current Activity dialog box appears (see Figure 15.9).
