So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Creating a Transaction Based Publication
SQL Server 2000 provides a Create Publication Wizard to guide when you create a publication. There are many ways you can configure replication in order to fine tune it to your needs

The creation of your publication will probably progress more smoothly if you have already started your SQL Server Agent and the MS DTC Agent before creating the publication.
Following are the steps you can use to create a typical transactional replication publication:
