| A1: | I have found the simplest way to set up SQL Mail is to log on to the NT Server where you want to set up SQL Mail, using the NT account for the email account that you want to assign SQL Server. Then test the Outlook or mail client by sending a message to yourself. After you can verify that you can send and receive email messages via the email account, start the SQL Server Enterprise Manager (still logged in with the NT account used by the email account) and then assign SQL Mail to use the current user profile.
