SQL Server 2000 enables you to create multiple distribution databases on the same server. You can delete a distribution database without disabling the server as a distributor. However, when you remove a distribution database, any publications using the database are removed. To delete a distribution database, perform the following:

Select the server on which you want to delete the distribution database.

From the SQL Enterprise Manager menu, select Tools and then select Replication. A drop-down menu appears. Select the Configure Publishing, Subscribers, and Distribution option. The Publisher and Distributor Properties dialog box appears, shown in Figure 27.9.
