I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Using HyperTerminal
HyperTerminal is a terminal emulation program that has been bundled with Windows since Windows 95 (when it was called the Dial-Up tool). HyperTerminal is used to connect to remote computers using either your modem or a null modem cable. The remote computer also must be running some sort of software to accept the connection. HyperTerminal can be used both to receive and initiate connections.
HyperTerminal is often used for the following:
Connect to a remote computer to exchange information
Connect to a host computer on a network to provide remote terminal access
Connect to network devices using VT100 emulation, such as Unix systems, routers, hubs, and so on
Connect to Internet telnet sites
Connect to bulletin board services (BBSs) ...
