When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Using Third-Party Software
In addition to making a direct connection to your camera using the drivers that come with Windows XP, you may find that some devices, especially cameras, come with their own software to load and use for transferring images from your camera. Even if your camera is supported by drivers supplied with the Windows XP installation CD, you will find a lot more software applications with scanners and cameras that go beyond some of the capabilities offered under Windows XP or that are simply easier to use. You should check out any additional software applications that come with your imaging devices and decide if the features they offer are ones you prefer.
