Using Administrative Templates
The Administrative Templates folder in the Group Policy Object tree gives you the most options for controlling how the computer environment is presented to the user. You can perform a number of functions in this folder, including the following:
Windows Components—You can enable or disable certain Windows components with this selection.
Start Menu and Task Bar—This selection allows you to remove items from the Start Menu and the Task Bar. You can remove links to Windows Update for example, or common program groups, the My Documents icon, the Search Assistant, the Help Menu, the Run menu, and so on.
Desktop—With this selection, you can hide and disable all items on the desktop, remove the Recycle Bin icon from the desktop, ...
