VRF Access

On the PE router, Cisco IOS commands were made VRF aware so that the user could communicate with the CE devices or IP addresses on the PE router in the VRF context. The ping, traceroute, and telnet commands have been made VRF aware for troubleshooting purposes and for accessibility to the CE routers and other devices in the VRF sites from the PE router. Example 7-40 shows how these three commands were extended for the VRF context.
