Syslog

Syslog is a method to send messages from the router to a host that is running a syslog daemon. However, you can also store the syslog messages locally on the router. If you send the syslog messages to a host collecting the messages from all the devices in the network, you see a global overview, and you can store the messages securely and manage them better. You can look at and manipulate the syslog file so that it provides better management and troubleshooting. The syslog messages have a number between 0 and 7, representing the severity of the message.
