Routing and Cost of a TE LSP
When the path for a TE tunnel is calculated, several factors come into play. The result of the calculation is the shortest path possible from all paths of which the characteristics of the links match the needed characteristics of the TE tunnel. These characteristics are the resources explained in the following sections. The network depicted in Figure 8-7 is the network—or parts of it—used to illustrate examples for the rest of this chapter.
