It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Know how many labels to expect on a packet at a particular link in any MPLS network
Use the traceroute tool in Cisco IOS to help determine problems with the forwarding of MPLS packets
Solve a typical MPLS MTU problem
Explain the propagation of the Time To Live (TTL) value by labeled packets
Tackle a problem with load balancing labeled packets
Explain what the command mpls ip propagate-ttl does and what its typical use is
Use MPLS-aware Netflow to better troubleshoot MPLS forwarding problems
When you are able to do these, you are ready to troubleshoot MPLS problems in a proper and efficient manner.
