Organizing Your Library with Shelves
If you buy enough books or periodicals (which of course you’ll do—why else do you have a NOOK?) you may find that the Library’s organization isn’t good enough for you. What if you want to browse your collection of literary novels, mystery novels written by women, or books about footwear in 17th century France? (OK, maybe this last collection won’t be big enough to browse through, but you get the idea.)
There’s a simple solution: organize your books (or other library items) into shelves, just like some people do at home, if they’re after order rather than randomness in their personal libraries, that is.
To organize your books into shelves, tap the My Stuff icon in the library, then choose My Shelves. Here’s what to do next.
Tap Create New Shelf. On the My Shelves screen that appears, type in the Name for your new shelf. Tap Save.

Note
You’re limited to 100 characters when creating a new for a shelf. In a world in which you’re limited to 140 characters for messages in Twitter, that should be more than enough space.
You’ll be sent back to My Shelves screen where you just were, with the new shelf on it. The shelf is empty.
Note
The NOOK creates a shelf for you automatically, titled Favorites. Put items in that shelf the same way you put items in any shelf that you create.
