Choose Your Reading Options
One of the best features of any digital reading device is the ability to change your reading options, and the NOOK Tablet has many variations to choose from. To access these options, tap the center of the screen to bring up the Reading Tools Menu, and tap the Text tab (with the “Aa” icon). You’ll see the following options (as shown in Figure 6-4):

- Size
- Tap the “A” that suits your desired font size to change the text in the entire book immediately. You have eight sizes to choose from.
- Font
- You have the choice between six available fonts: Century School Book, Dutch, Georgia (the device default), Ascender Sans, Trebuchet MS, and Gill Sans. But you’ll see only three options at first, to reveal the others, tap in the Font box and push the other options up.
- Theme
- The NOOK Tablet offers more reading themes than most other ereaders, which tend to have only Day (black text on a white background), Night (white text on a black background), or Sepia (a sepia background with black text). To these standards, the NOOK adds Butter (black on off-white), Mocha (white on brown), and Gray (black on gray).
- Line Spacing
