Chapter 2. ODS Basics
ODS is no longer a brand new tool. It is well documented and pretty easy to use. However, if you're new to ODS, you need to learn some terminology that is distinct from some of the SAS programming terminology you already know. This chapter explains these new terms and goes over the basics of what ODS does.
You could skip this chapter and go straight on to creating ODS output in Chapters 3 through 6. However, understanding the basics of how ODS works and knowing the terminology for its components will make the following chapters more understandable.
