ODS Document Store Characteristics
An ODS document store is not portable. You cannot move it across platforms. This is true of template item stores, as well as the SAS registry. So although this is a limitation, it is true of all item stores and is not unique to ODS document stores.
The ODS document store is not a SAS data set or catalog. It is actually a hierarchical tree structure of directories (or folders). Figure 11.5 shows several entries with type DIR, which correspond to the folders that you see in the Documents window. The entry type of TABLE is for the output object from the procedure in its raw, unformatted state.
