DC–DC Converters
Abstract
So-called transformerless dc to dc converters such as the buck, the boost, and buck–boost converter topologies are presented and analyzed in this chapter. DC–DC converters that use high-frequency transformer such as the forward, flyback, half-bridge, full-bridge, and push–pull topologies are presented and analyzed as well. The analyses are performed under continuous and discontinuous current modes of operation. The buck and the boost converters are then analyzed using their state–space model representation and the switching power losses of a semiconductor device are examined.
