It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 2. BGP at the Edge
When you are first examining BGP, it appears as though most of the work done by the protocol (along with the most complex configurations) would be between Internet service providers, rather than between Internet service providers and their customers—and to a large degree, this is true. But there are a lot of configuration options and issues at the edge, as well. For instance, a company connecting to the Internet through an Internet service provider might actually run BGP with the service provider. Why? That's what we'll cover in this chapter.
We'll first discuss the actual connection to the service provider: then we'll discuss, in separate sections, different ways of connecting to the Internet, including single homing ...
