I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Route Flap Damping
A large portion of the routing information propagated between BGP speakers on the Internet is the result of unstable or flapping routes. Route flaps continuously ripple through the Internet as a result of up and unstable paths or changes in attributes associated with a given path. These flaps result in wasted CPU, bandwidth and other network resources. RFC 2439, BGP Route Flap Damping, defines a mechanism by which the amount of routing state propagated via BGP can be reduced by reducing the scope of route flap propagation.
