Connecting to a Service Provider
The first issue a company faces when connecting to the Internet is how to get started. Even those who work for a company already connected to the Internet generally don't understand how this piece of their network works, so just to demystify the process somewhat, we'll cover some basics here. There are three essential topics to be discussed: the physical connection, IP addressing, and security.
