I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Package Management with rpm
One of the most powerful and innovative utilities available in Red Hat Linux is rpm, the Red Hat package manager. It can be used to install, uninstall, upgrade, query, verify, and build software packages. The RPM system provides all the functions of the installer/uninstaller model of Windows, but actually works! The RPM system is so popular that it has been adopted by other Linux distributions as the primary means of packaging software. Unfortunately, there isn't a true standard for packaging, and there are other means of distributing software for your computer.
