So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
A Book for Developers
If you’ve gotten this far, we’ve already established that you’re a developer (or, at least, that’s one of the hats you wear). In tailoring the content of this book, there are a few other assumptions that we make about you as well.
First, we expect that you’re already knowledgeable in relational database concepts—whether that experience is with SQL Server or non-Microsoft platforms. As such, you already know about tables, views, primary and foreign key relationships, stored procedures, functions, and triggers. These essentials are assumed knowledge and are not covered in this book.
