You might be wondering why we have an entire chapter devoted to OLAP application development and only a single chapter for data mining overall. Analysis Services data mining is no less programmable than OLAP, and although Analysis Services data mining can sometimes be more straightforward than OLAP development, for the most part, the two are comparable in complexity.
