So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

The data mining component of Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services is an intensely compelling feature. It allows developers, even those with no previous data mining experience, to integrate data mining into applications quickly and effectively. The Mining Model Wizard guides you through the choice of inputs and outputs for the models, abstracting much of the complexity of the algorithms. At the same time, several algorithm parameters are exposed, allowing more advanced users to tweak the models by changing parameter values from their specified defaults.
