The Darkroom
We've often been asked why we refer to the digital darkroom, since you don't need to work in a darkened room with digital photography. It's not just because we're borrowing the term from film photography. We like to use digital darkroom because it reinforces the importance of the environment in which we work on our images (Figure 8.2).
